Chess classes for kids
Summer 2021 online chess classes for children start on July 5.

Classes run once per week for 8 weeks, in skill-appropriate groups. Assessment of new students will be made prior to first class.

Students can choose to attend on Mondays or Tuesdays.

Online tournaments are conducted every 2 weeks.

64 Squares Chess Club was established in 2019 with the goal to provide chess training for children. Chess lessons for adults are also available. Our program was located at the Orange Hub in west Edmonton (corner of 100 Av and 156 Street) but is currently delivered online.
During our 8-week sessions students receive instruction from in a group of similar-skilled participants, and play chess games. We organize bi-weekly online tournaments for our students to practice their skills and have fun.
All our chess instructors are strong active players from the Edmonton Chess Club.
